Sumit Jain

I started as a software engineer at Intel, building the graphics driver for the world’s first Windows 8 tablet. That foundation — understanding systems, trade-offs, and how things actually get built — has shaped everything since.

After an MBA from IIM Lucknow (Rank 27), I pivoted into product management, drawn to the intersection of user problems, business outcomes, and technical reality.

Over 14 years I’ve built across multiple industries — eCommerce, EdTech, OTT, AdTech, Fintech, and AI — at companies ranging from Intel and Amazon to fast-scaling startups. My current work at DigiHaat (ONDC) sits at the frontier of AI-native product development.

Every roadmap decision starts with a real user problem. Metrics matter, but only as proxies for genuine user value.

The fastest way to validate an idea is a thin, working slice in production — not a 6-month spec document.

We’re at an inflection point. The best PMs right now are the ones shipping AI features that solve real problems, not demos.
